Jenny Waldman


Jenny Waldman joined Art Fund in April 2020. She was previously Director of 14-18 NOW, the UK’s official arts programme for the First World War Centenary, where she commissioned over 100 new works from leading contemporary artists including Jeremy Deller’s Somme tribute We’re here because we’re here, Peter Jackson’s film They Shall Not Grow Old and new works by John Akomfrah, William Kentridge, and Rachel Whiteread.

She was Creative Producer of the London 2012 Festival, the finale of the Cultural Olympiad for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, working in partnerships with arts and heritage organisations across the UK, and from 1999-2011 she was Public Programmes Consultant to Somerset House Trust. She has also commissioned large-scale performing arts events for Tate Modern and Tate Britain.

She was awarded a CBE in the 2017 New Year Honours for services to the arts.

Andrew Durrant

Interim Director of finance and resources

Andrew Durrant oversees Art Fund’s finance and resources team. The team encompasses finance, human resources, information technology, legal services and facilities.

Andrew is ACA qualified, having been an external auditor at Andersen and then spending the majority of his career in financial advisory at Deloitte. Andrew has worked with a number of charities include the National Portrait Gallery and Blood cancer UK.

Rachel Mapplebeck

Director of communications

Rachel Mapplebeck leads the communications team at Art Fund, supports membership recruitment and drives awareness of our charitable programme nationwide. The team coordinates digital content, media relations, public affairs and Art Quarterly magazine.

She was previously head of communications at the Whitechapel Gallery, and is a trustee for Gasworks Gallery and Studios, a public arts organisation with a global network.

Sarah Philp

Director of programmes and policy

Sarah Philp leads the team responsible for managing and developing Art Fund’s grant-giving programmes, which support the museums and galleries sector in the UK through funding new acquisitions, and curatorial and collections development. She has coordinated the development of many new initiatives, including the Jonathan Ruffer curatorial grants programme, New Collecting Awards, and the Weston Loan programme.

Previously, she was senior grants officer at Art Fund, and has worked as a fundraiser for the Charleston Trust and in a voluntary capacity as an advisor to small arts organisations in Brighton.

Alice Regent

Interim Director of development

Alice Regent heads up Art Fund’s development team, which raises funds to support our charitable activities – from major appeals and acquisition funding to special collecting initiatives and curatorial training. The team focuses on securing major support from individuals, grant-making foundations, companies and legacy pledgers.

Alice joined Art Fund as Senior Manager, Major Gifts in 2014. Previously she worked at the British Museum, where she secured funding from individual donors for exhibitions, public programmes and capital projects.

Carolyn Young

Director of marketing and membership

Carolyn Young leads Art Fund's marketing and membership team, which plays a central role in driving awareness and raising income, especially through the National Art Pass. The team covers branding, design, museum marketing, membership services, commercial partnerships, market research and analysis.

She joined Art Fund in summer 2009 and previously worked at the National Trust, the British Museum, Samaritans and the fundraising agency, Bluefrog.
