This event has now passed, find out what else is going on at Macclesfield Silk Museum

A midsummer celebration, a gathering, a joyful evening to celebrate the historic figures of Macclesfield - and your own special people.

Historian Ailsa Holland will reveal the six blue plaques made last week by Rosie's Plaques. These commemorate six women, from witches to weavers and everything in between, who ought to be remembered on our town's buildings; Ailsa will tell us a little about each one.

And in a Great Wall of Macclesfield, we display the plaques made by YOU in recent workshops, to honour your mums, dads, teachers and historic heroes.

There will be music from brilliant violinist Ian Haigh, and a rare chance to roam the atmospheric spaces of Paradise Mill on a summer evening.

And it's all FREE. Why wouldn't you join us?
