The Loving Earth project is a community textile project which seeks to help people engage with the climate and environmental crisis in a fun and creative way.
The project asks people to consider something, someone, somewhere or some activity which they love and imagine how this might be affected by climate change and environmental breakdown. In a piece of writing to accompany a panel, the project explores waht we can do about it.
There are now 300 panels and texts from all ages and different parts of the world and a selection will be on display at Fairfield Mill. The exhibition aims to provide opportunities for visitors to engage directly with the project in textiles or other ways.
