The museum is home to a nationally recognised collection of Scottish ships, canoes, lifeboats and other vessels, as well as engineering designs, machinery and tools.
Housed in a huge former Victorian shipyard building, the museum explores Scotland's important contribution to maritime history. As well as vessels of all scales and sizes, there are exhibits that reveal the stories of the shipyard workers, inventors and sailors who made their construction possible.
